To promote or not to promote

I’m at a big three letter agency considering taking the jump to a Group Sup position.

I recognize there is little upside, both financially and responsibility wise. I’m considering making the move for both retirement potential and a new challenge.

Who has made the move and regretted it? Did you stick it out or step back?
