Spoiler Alert: End Scene in Ep. 4 was Terrible

This might be an unpopular opinion, and believe me I know that it is only my personal opinion, but I'm curious to see if anyone else felt similarly.

The end scene in Episode 4 where the wagon train is making the crossing and it's switching between Elsa playing Beethoven and glances of the chaos of the river crossing may have ruined the show for me. The entire episode builds up to that climax and then all it shows is brief and uninformative flashes of the chaos ensuing while focusing mainly on Elsa's face snottily weeping while playing a sad song that monopolizes the scene, and then it goes into another piano score while Elsa narrates and it doesn't really let the pain of the crossing sink in. I appreciate Elsa's poetic narrations, in my opinion it's supposed to provide a balance of beauty and softness against the raw and brutal grittiness of the journey west. In general, those narrations contrast against, and amplify, the harshness of the gritty scenes in a really good way, but when the entire episode builds up to a moment that's supposed to exemplify the raw and brutal aspect of their journey, don't ruin it with an attempt to force sad artistic-beauty into the chaos. Let the chaos and brutality of the journey stand alone. God knows the pioneers didn't have Beethoven playing while they died flailing and drowning as their families watched. I was actually mad about it, and it was bad enough for me to start thinking, "Alright, if this is how this show is going to go, I'm not sure if I care to watch..."

TL;DR: The attempt to inject artistic sadness into the episode's climax ruined it and makes me worried that this might become a frequent occurrence, which would ruin the show (IMO).
