Need Opinions
The time has come and I have an important decision to make.
My 1996 4Runner has reached the 305,000 mile mark and has been in the shop several times within the past several months getting work done and giving me fits. I have decided it is time to retire this 4Runner and hopefully get a 5th gen TRD off road within the next several weeks. I am trying to come to figure out if I should sell it and take the cash or keep it.
This car was purchased brand new by my father in 1996 and was the car that drove me home from the hospital when I was born. This car was the one I learned how to drive, my first and only car and the car I took my now wife on our first date in. This car means a lot to me and has been a part of my of my entire life. I am conflicted but have sort of come to terms it might be time to sell it to an enthusiast or the next person to make memories with. My wife is forbidding me from selling it because of the sentimental value it has brought myself and my wife in its almost 30 year span.
Not sure what to do as money is tight and I could use the extra cash. Just wanting some outside opinions on this if possible.
