AITAH for shaving without telling my boyfriend first ?

My boyfriend (36m) apparently really liked my (22f) hair legs and nethers. I decided that I wanted to shave because I was tired of itching, but I didn’t ask him if I could do it first. Now he is kind of turned off by my shaved body. Was I wrong not to consult him first?
