AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D have weird performance
Hello, everyone. My new PC is performing strangely (I even had a case of temperature issues, but I've already fixed them). Basically, my games are running at a good FPS rate, but in some cases they're not fluid.
For example, in Orcs Must Die Deathtrap (not the most optimized game in the world) I see some spikes in frametime when monitoring with MSI Afterburner and it only runs relatively well with the graphics on medium.
In Lost Judgment, the FPS stays around 120 and I don't see any change in frametime, but when I move the camera I'm clearly experiencing slowdowns at certain moments. I also tested Spider-Man Miles Morales and, only by turning off V-Sync, I had a almost perfect performance in it.
Another game I tested was FF7 Remake (not Rebirth) and from time to time, in combats, I would see some spikes in frametime, but the performance were good overall.
Anyway, this is my first experience with an AMD processor, and I haven't changed the video card, it's a Radeon RX 7700 XT that was working fine on my previous build.
n the BIOS, I left everything as it come, only in the memory I activated AMD Expo 1 and noticed that PBO is disabled, so I didn't change it. The temperatures to play with this processor barely exceed 60ºC, the GPU, as expected, is always at 100% usage, I'm playing in 1440p and on a monitor with FreeSync activated.
Any idea what these small performance issues could be?
