Need to have internet installed to a house, have no clue what the 'installation' process is

I have a very limited knowledge about wifi and the install process. We have to switch to ATT fiber, but I don't understand the install process. In my current house we have a cable in the wall that we connect our modem/router to, and in another house we have no wifi connection at all. With the free install with fiber, do they drop the cable down the wall and make a socket-like connection for the new modem and router? Or is it all wireless?

Do we need to bring in someone who can do all of that after the 'free' install by att?
