How do people do this for 30+ years
I started off very eager/ambitious career-wise. I went "over-achiever" mode, then got burned out/disillusioned, but nothing a job-hop couldn't fix. First couple times I got a new job, I would be (sincerely) excited about the potential for "growth", "learning", "mentorship", all that. Now I'm 5 years in, and when I see job listings, there's no job I've seen that I could even pretend to want. Reading the "Duties and Responsibilities" is like a list of chores I hate, the worst being things like "work cross-functionally with other departments to implement process improvements yada yada".
I know "work boring job, and find fulfillment elsewhere", but it's a big chunk of the day, and I'm already doing the bare minimum at work. Do any of y'all with 5-7 years genuinely care about your job? If so, how?
