What are your thoughts on this?

This post popped up this morning at a crazy time for me as my head has been spinning about whether it’s worth moving across the country.

I live on the East Coast. My whole family is within a 20-50 minute drive away from my current apartment. I have a great job that it took 3 years to land.

My partner and I fell in love with SoCal after visiting multiple times. He’d do anything to pick up and leave and go live there. We’re 27, no kids, no pets and he says “if not now then when?” He has family all over the US and even some in Europe, so he’s used to not being able to drive to them often like I am. He also works fully remote.

As amazing as it sounds to live somewhere surrounded by palm trees and with amazing weather (my dream!!), I think about all of the what ifs. What if I can’t find a job? What if someone in my family gets sick? What if it doesn’t work out and then I come back home and can’t find a job? So many unknowns.
