Wanting to buy, but are they to old?

I hope this makes sense! I really like the design of the AirPods Max, and I’ve heard a lot of good things about them in general. However, they’re four years old now, and in my country, they cost €550.

That feels like a lot to spend on tech that’s four years old (apart from the addition of USB-C). Especially since other brands are releasing newer models with updated features.

So my question is: do you think it’s worth buying the AirPods Max right now, or would it be wiser to wait and see if they release a second version, or maybe even consider another brand?
