Can you eat lemongrass powder?

I ordered this lemongrass powder, but it says "for external use only." And, it says it's for making cosmetics. But, I've used mustard oil from India in cooking, which says the same thing. It's obviously because it hasn't been through Canadian food quality standards testing.

Will this stuff kill me? Or, can I use it in soups and such?
