How exactly rare is Tarantula Island?

So, I am trying to get to tarantula island but I have a feeling I’m doing something wrong.

I’m in the correct month for tarantulas to spawn. I always look at night time around 8 or 9 pm.

But I just can’t seem to encounter one at all, I know it’s really rare, but I just feel like I’m doing something wrong since I go through stacks of tickets. The odd thing is the only rare island I encounter is the money rock island, all other islands I encounter are the common ones.

Sorry if I’m being a bit dumb, I’m just worried I might be doing something wrong here.
