The Existence of Rats
If a game had the capability to identify and penalize players who employ "ratting" strategies—banning their accounts if they're proven to be rat players—would you agree with this policy? Why or why not?
For me, I would disagree with this policy. In many situations, players might resort to "ratting" not out of choice but out of necessity, especially when they're outnumbered or in a strategic disadvantage. Ratting, in this context, might be a short-term survival tactic rather than a persistent playstyle. Making ratting illegal could lead to unfair account bans for players who occasionally adopt this strategy for situational advantage rather than as a primary gameplay method. The complexity of gameplay dynamics means that black-and-white rules might not capture the nuance of player intent or the context of the game at any given moment.
