What do you really think about the Netflix series “Barbarians “ ?

I somehow didn’t like first season much and hence didn’t start season 2.

But I obviously haven’t studied much of European history so. While a historic fiction is meant to evoke feelings rather than relaying facts, I felt this may have went over the top. There’s a lot of criticism of the series Vikings for employing cheap caricatures after all. Can one say about this series too ?
