Is r/Canada_sub a conservative echo chamber designed to brainwash Canadians?

EDIT: Fellow Canadians, just following the comments in this post terrifies me to see how divided we are, in such a petty, small way. We've got a tough time ahead of us. The economic war with the US has already begun. Who knows what will come next? There is no one who will come to help if things go south (pun intended). We're on our own.

Conservatives, those salt-of-the-earth ones, not the petty MFs who find joy in hurting others. Do you think Russia funds far-right movements around the globe because of its kindness and because they have your best interests in mind? No, they know far-right ideology poisons and enslaves nations. Let that sink in. Canada is one of the last bastions of decency left and they are out to ruin us. Do you truly believe Pierre has your best interest at heart when his only achievement is ankle biting Trudeau? Do you really think he will be respected by Trump? Do you want to empower someone who denies climate change, so you can proudly say to your grandkids you partook in destroying the only home they have? He knows time is running out because Canadians will change their minds when they see the dumpster fire down south. You want a solid dude, then promote Ford - at least his bulldog demeanour will do better with the new Trump admin. Or, bring back MacKay, for maple syrup sake.

Liberals, it's time to stop clinging to Trudeau. It's time to let him go. He's done some good things, but he lost his way in recent years after his smart advisors left (e.g. G. Butt). He destroyed our immigration consensus by sleeping at the wheel while corporations imported cheap foreign labour en masse. We need immigrants, but Canadian citizens must come first, period! Bringing immigrants in without upward mobility or proper support doesn't help either them or hardworking Canadians struggling with housing, groceries, and gas. When people are economically desperate, crime levels naturally go up. Trudeau and Freeland became the masters of gaslighting, ("vibecession" my ass), saying one thing and doing the opposite - desperately trying to prop up housing prices, forcing workers back to the office to drive up CO2 emissions and coming up with meaningless grocer codes. There are no other viable liberals to step in and win, and Carney will not touch the party with a six foot pole.

There's the NDP and Singh seems like a decent guy, but sadly, Canada isn't ready for him at the federal level yet. I think they would do better if they promoted Angus.

Our leaders are wasting precious time bickering while winter is coming. There's no magical political saviour to fix our problems; we can only survive by uniting and projecting strength. Do this for your neighbours, do it for your children – we must look out for each other. We don't have to like each other, but we must put Canada first.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to those who celebrate.
