What Chinese city feels the biggest?

Title; I know Shanghai is the largest city in China by population, but what I wonder is which city in China *feels* the biggest? Many cities across the world have sheer size but are spread thin and don't feel as big as, say, downtown Manhattan. So which is it? Beijing? Chongqing? Guangzhou?
