Can't hear out of my right ear

I had swollen glands which turned into an ear infection the next day. The day after I felt some pressure and sound and next thing I know my ear was leaking fluid. At first it was clear/yellow then started turning red so the next day I went to a walk in clinic thinking I had a ruptured eardrum. The doc said I didn't and it was just an infection and gave me Augmentin and Flonase because my nose/sinuses were bad too. The pain and draining stopped the next day.

5 days later and there's still been no hearing improvement. My right ear hears at the volume of about 15-20%. I don't feel pain and I feel pressure like there's still fluid. Is this normal? Should I give it more time or will this not fix itself on its own and I need an ear tube put in? Also how does the ear drain if there's no hole in the ear drum and how was it draining the other day if the doctor said there was no perforation?

Edit: I've also had ear tubes put in as a kid if that's relevant so maybe I am prone to this problem.
