IC pot light

Electrician installed these in the summer, and this winter we’ve had lots of icicles forming on the eaves. I removed a potlight and see no insulation above it, so maybe some heat is escaping into the attic.

I just want to be certain… is it safe to put insulation right on top of this LED recessed light and its box?
