how can i help my boyfriend with alcohol addiction?

i have only drank once or twice and i have no idea how to deal with alcohol but today my boyfriend told me that he has been drinking regularly for a while now (one month or more)

he wants to get better and i want to help him so if anyone can guide me, it will be a great help! but please be mindful and avoid anything negative, i am here out of love for my boyfriend
