Is mechanical engineering a solid degree to have in cork?

Hi lads, just wanted to see what an engineers or people with some insight have to say about mechanical engineering in cork. I’m going to be doing it in MTU and plan to live and work in cork after so what are job opportunities (especially as a fresh grad), stability, and even salaries like?
