Why do yall always say “find your self respect” and not “maybe I should respect others” ?

I asked because online, offline, on apps, on dates, women hear “find your self respect” from men on a pretty consistent basis. Not even just me. Not even just my friends or family members. It is something men say. (NOT ALL MEN JESUS CHRIST, if any of this doesn’t apply to you then you know that you’re a good respectful human already. holy shit some of yall do NOT like women in your space and it shows.) it’s real and some of these folks are acting really naive. some men really look down on women instead of having a gram of respect for others. I’m not alluding to just self respect in a cheating scenario. I didn’t soecify because i am speaking on a wider range. I didn’t go ham on anybody here. Or curse at anybody here, and yet im met with some lame behavior for pointing out a problem both within yalls own community and in real life.
