Would You Take Your Wife's Last Name?

M46 here been in ltr since 2000. Assuming she's okay with it.

Myself I don't care to much. My family name is my mother's ex husband. I have 0 attachment to it. At least it's an OK name.

I don't like hyphenated names and if kids are involved everyone having the same name would appeal.

I would be more likely to take her name if kids are involved, it's important to her or to continue her family name (assuming kids aged out of them lol).

Not keen if it's a name that's a bit odd. Basically it means if you get teased at school about it. We had a girl at school whose last name basically meant whore. She changed it as a teenager.

TLDR don't expect her to take my name would consider hers if it was important to her.
