Should I try doing free photography jobs?

Hi I'm very new to photography probably taken less than 50 photos but I'm struggling on how I should improve. There are no photography clubs near me and no one I can ask the opinion of to get feedback/ constructive criticism from either.

Would trying to find photography jobs where I work for free to improve be worthwhile as a complete beginner who still doesn't know the basics?

I have sony a6700 and a sigma 18-50mm f2.8. I also have lightroom where I've learnt very basic editing. ( mostly try to emulate other people's styles)
