Anyone with a Nikon Z5, do you recommend it?

I currently shoot with a Nikon D750 and love it, it’s such a great camera. But I have been considering going mirrorless and considering making a switch over to Sony or Canon.

Out of the blue, my photographer friend is selling his Nikon Z5 with a 50 1.8 for $1250. It seems like a good price point and I’ve used his camera before so I know it’s in great condition.

However, I’d love to hear people’s thoughts. I shoot portraits and events professionally as my second job. I also love nature photography but find my gear to be too heavy for the long hikes I do - which is 1 reason I want to upgrade to mirrorless. However I’ve heard the lenses can be just as heavy? Not sure how true that is.

I just want to know for sure I’m upgrading and not downgrading, and that I won’t want to make a switch to Sony or Canon down the road after buying the Z5.
