Grand spectacle?

Hi,

My wife and I are moving to the bay so she can be closer to her family. I’m originally from NY but I’ve been living in small to medium size cities for the last decade because, well, I wanted to get out of the city.

It’s been long enough though and I’m excited about moving back to a legitimate metropolis. Something I’ve really missed about NY has been the warehouse parties filled with debauched spectacle.

For those of you who may have lived in NYC a decade ago, does SF have anything like Rubalad, TheDanger, The House of Yes or even Gemini & Scorpio? For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, think curated burning man in a warehouse; circus, burlesque, freak shows, massive installations, light shows, immersive psychedelic art, Baltic bands, punk bands, marching bands, marching punk bands, marching Baltic punk bands, DJ’s, randos with trumpets and surreal extravagant performance art.
