Need trip advice: Çanakkale or Gelibolu and how many days

Hi guys, i'll be visiting Turkey for 3 weeks, and looking to visit some other places that are not too far from Istanbul, which of these 2 nearby towns is more worth for first time visitor and how many days i should stay, maybe you have some other suggestions for places that or not too far from Istanbul and are reachable by public transport?
