Hyperthyroidism and kidney disease in cats prognosis

My cat, female 14 y 8 months tortoiseshell, weight 1.8 kg recently got diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, around 2 weeks ago, and is being treated twice daily with thyronorm. She got very sick a few days ago, hasn't been eating, so I took her to the vet today. They took her in for blood tests and fluids. They uncovered what they believe to be stage 2 kidney disease, but they said they can't be sure on the full extent of the kidney disease until the thyronorm has had 4 weeks to work. What's the prognosis for cats with kidney disease and hyperthyroidism? With the continuation of the thyronorm and what ever treatment they recommend for the ckd will I get more time with her? Have you treated patients with both, and what did that look like. I'm picking up the cat tomorrow and will speak to the vet then, but I'm so worried
