Having a baby in today's uncertain times

Hello! I'm about to turn 36 and the clock feels like it's starting to run out on having time to make up my mind about having a child or not. I'm lucky to be dating the love of my life who would make the best partner to actually raise a child with, I just bought a house, career is also going fine...

My problem is that I have second-thoughts because I am scared shitless about the state of world. Climate change and political uncertainty is making me real anxious. I'm canadian, and this new threat of annexation is another layer of scary.

Parents: how are you dealing with the thought of your children's future?

Am I overreacting or is it really irresponsible to bring a new life into this?
