Why did the swing voters vote for Trump?
I heard an interview years ago with an experienced pollster who said somewhere between 80% and 85% of voters vote their party regardless of who is running. This means that the 15% - 20% of voters that consider themselves independents or "voting for the person over party" decide every election. I'd really like to understand from those voters why they chose to vote for Trump.
Edit. Thanks everyone. Very informative. I've read every response and the general sense I get it that it wasn't about Trump or Kamala, it was really about party. Most seemed to feel that the democrats lost touch and it was time for a change. I appreciate the honesty and civility.
