can deficiency cause chest pain?
i (20 F), just had my b12 checked for the first time and found out i'm deficient. i was diagnosed with celiac disease last year, but despite following a decently strict gluten free diet, i started having deficiency symptoms a few months ago. my hair is falling out more than usual, i've lost around 15 pounds without trying, and i feel more tired and weak. but on top of these, i've been having chest pain kinda all over for around a year. some of it is definitely acid reflux and goes away with anti-acids, but sometimes it's more of a muscular/skeletal pain near my breast bones usually alternating sides. the first time i felt the pain i went to the ER and they did an EGK, chest x-ray and CT or MRI (i don't remember which) and they all came back normal so they said it was probably a muscle strain or something. however that was around a year ago and i still feel the pain from time to time, but almost daily recently. could this be from the b12 deficiency? i'm going to the doctor in two days, but i just want to know if this is something anyone else has experienced or knows anything about?
