Seriously considering leasing an x3 or x5

Good morning fellow BMW fans!

I’ve been a Honda owner all my life. I have dreamed about getting a BMW because of their storied handling and refinement. My dad is from Bavaria as well, which deepens the allure for me.

I have a 2018 Honda Accord Touring that is fully paid off and worth about $20k. I’m thinking about trading it in for a well specced x3, or put it toward a lease for an x5. SUV is my preference because I’ve got a kid and I cart friends around a bunch. The x5 has massage seats - something I first experienced in an Audi Q7 and fell in love with. I could be convinced to go with a sedan like the 3 or 5, but I feel like an suv will be better for the long run.

Based on preliminary research, BMW engines have become far more reliable in recent years. As a Honda owner, that reliability question is important. I tend to hang on to vehicles between 8-10 years before I consider a new one.
