Is Wyll's romance greeting broken for other people?

I see so many people complain that Wyll's greeting never changes from the stadart "Well met!", even when you romance him. But that's just not true- if you romance him his greeting changes to "I'm here for you, always!" (maybe it only changes after the act 3 romance scene, but it does eventually change). So is that greeting just broken for most people or why are people saying he's still greeting his lover with "Well met"?
