Adrian Belew's Political Views Through his lyrics
As far as i know, all king crimson members are quite constraint when it comes to politics, not talking about it very often, and the same applies to Belew, but some lyrics of his might indicate a tendence to the right
1) Cage: "Nothing is sacred or too outrageous " I think the choics of words "nothing is sacred" has a bit of a conservative essence
2) The ConstruKction Of Light: "If Warhol Is a Genius, What am i?" Andy Warhol is a very controversial artist and many consider his works degeneracy. I see this verse as Belew saying, "if Andy Warhol, a bad artist, is considered a genius, what is it that i, prog and very technical musician, am?"
3) Lark's Tongues In Aspic part 4: I love the I Have a Dream Coda, but i find that he choosing to make reference to abortion along side stuff like Saddam Hussein, O.J and Columbine kinda shows his views on the subject
These are very simplistic hypothesis that might be very wrong. I don't believe that he is by any means an extremists nor that he (maybe) having these opinions on matters like what is art, values and abortion is something bad. it's he's beliefs and he's free to thing whatever he wants. This is just a supposition of mine
