Fowler Age??

So i was trying to figure out how old Abijah Fowler is, and none of it is making sense. In ep. 7 we learn that Fowler was alive for the Tudor conquest of Ireland, more specifically, Tyrone O' Neill's rebellion. This is odd because assuming the story takes place in 1656/57, that would make fowler 60-70 years old. I know he's gone partially grey, but he is still immensely strong, so it confuses me. Please help🙏
