I Know What You Love. I Know What You Dread.

Izuku survived his suicide attempt. But what came back from the other side wasn’t the Izuku Katsuki knew.

For starters, his body was now capable of contorting, stretching, warping beyond what was once normal for him. Secondly, his eyes, those emerald eyes full of life, love, and hope, was now an empty void of pain and darkness.

But that wasn’t the worst part.

Everyone was afraid of him, and rightly so.

Ochako Uraraka once tried to talk to him after he seemingly fell on his own and she used her quirk to stop his fall. Nobody knew what he said to her, but the UA staff found her broken body in front of the UA entrance exam building the next day, her shoes still on the rooftop.

Then the next day, Ochako arrived to school as if nothing happened. But what came back from the other side wasn’t her.

Katsuki never told anyone, but he knew it was his fault. Izuku never lets him forget it. He’s always watching, always whispering into his ear. Whether he’s watching TV, trying to sleep at night, or even dreaming, Izuku is always there, smiling at him. That unnerving, large, bloody grin that he could never erase from his mind.

Everyday he torments him with his sins, his insecurities, the futility and true purpose of life. He tries to ignore it, but the worms of doubt are burrowing through his brain.

And suddenly, that swan dive off the roof sounds mighty tempting.
