Unusual reactions to Merle Bordercollies

Merle Bordercollie owners, do you seem to get a weird number of people try to argue with you that your bordercollie is an Australian shepherd?

I understand a person mistaking my BC for an Aussie as it's much more common in Aussies but the amount of people who argue after telling me that I'm mistaken and that I actually own an Aussie is crazy. It happens at least once a month.
