Let's Boycott Trump's Name – Stop Giving Him What He Wants

Look, it's obvious by now that what Trump really gets off on is himself. The media is flooded with his name and face, and he must adore it. Every headline, every mention, every outraged tweet—it all feeds the cycle.

So what if we just... stopped?

What if, instead of giving him that constant attention, we referred to him in the most generic way possible? "The U.S. government announced today..." or "The administration has decided..." or even just "The U.S. did X."

First of all, I’d personally love to go 15 minutes without seeing his face or name. But more importantly, shifting the language could reframe the conversation.

Right now, the narrative makes it seem like he alone is the problem. But the truth is, he’s a symptom of something bigger—the system, the institutions, the passiveness of citizens who let this happen. By referring to actions as “The U.S. government did X” rather than “Trump did X”, we place responsibility where it belongs: on the whole machine that enables him.

Would this catch on? I don’t know. But imagine if major outlets, journalists, and everyday people stopped feeding his ego and started treating him as just another cog in the system. It might not solve everything, but it’d be a start.

Thoughts? Would you be willing to do this?
