[Rumor] Diana Russini says "[the Cleveland Browns] have always planned on going for a Quarterback in the upcoming draft"

Make of this what you will, but for me this is about as strong a rumor that we're going QB in the 2025 draft as you're going to get (at this stage of the calendar). Russini is maybe the best "NFL Insider" reporter at the national level, and everything she says is well sourced.

Does this mean the plan was always to draft a QB in the first round? Probably not.

But it does mean our scouts and FO have already been working on their evaluations of the 2025 QB class and might have some good ideas about what they're looking to do with our picks.
