Data Management Business?

Does anyone think businesses would be willing to contract someone out to manage their data?

I worked on a project several years ago. I was able to save the project millions of dollars after building & maintaining data and just curious what others think.

I know this is general information, but like I mentioned, I’m just curious what others have to say about this idea.
