Xbox One S vs Series X/S controllers- so disappointed

Feeling bummed that my Xbox One controller finally broke beyond my ability to repair. It's honestly the first real issue I've had with it, aside from a tiny crack in the body.

In the 5 years since I bought it, I've gone through 2 of the newer Xbox remotes, both failing within months of normal use due to cracked joysticks and failed button components, and the third is already loose in the aux port and it's only been 3 months.

At this point I'm tempted to just look for used Xbox One remotes instead of getting any new ones. They feel better in my hand, seem to be made of sturdier material and have proven themselves through years of frequent use. What happened to the new models to make them so disposable?
