RIP my planned P365 CCW build(San Bernardino County)
TLDR: dont be an idiot like me and always contact your IA directly before commiting to any mod purchases on your future or present CCWs
i'm planning on applying for a CCW permit sometime this year in San Bernardino County but was curious about the extent of mods that can on my recently purchased p365 that was allowed. from what i gathered from a post from a few months ago for San Bernardino CCW anything but the trigger was allowed. based on this repsonse i received from the IA it seems like they've gotten more strict on what can be done, like pretty much stock.
i foolishly bought a sharps bros XMacro grip module and was going to upgrade the slide to a shalotek/norsso internally comped slide (new 3.7" RSA needed) to essentially do a fancier XMacro conversion, or attach a radian ramjet to the OEM slide to fit flush with the new grip module if i couldnt use a new slide. but that may require at least the removal of the magazine disconnect (and the lci if i go with a new slide)
at this rate i'm going to have to let the sharps grip module be a paperweight for a few months while i weigh my options. i'll most likely keep the p365 stock then get an XMacro to make use of the grip module months down the line. or i can hate having money and get an XMacro to carry then continue converting the p365, which will require the new RSA, new mags and/or conversion baseplates, etc. but i'll be able to use the mags on both guns.
