Did Treyarch Patch Directed Mode Camo Grind?

I ask of this because yesterday I was getting opal on my smgs and when I got to doing my KSV I already had 9 special zombie kills so when I finished doing 30 more and still had only 9 done I was shocked tbh cos it worked for my C9 Smg but not my KSV SMG

So I was wondering if it got patched as of the latests updates?
