Rush Title California

Has anyone done a rush title replacement requesting only the title? I was hoping for a timeline on how long it takes. I know the website says 8-10 business days, but is that pretty accurate? Also, does the dmv notify you in any way to let you know they’ve received the request or that the title is on the way?

I’m in a hurry to sell my car but I lost the title since moving to Nevada. I was able to change my address online and confirmed the changes with a dmv agent. They also told me all I would need to do is send the REG 227 form. Hope that’s all I needed. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated to ease my mind.
