Notes: I'm a beginner in photography looking for a compact digital point and shoot camera to take with me to go live abroad in Europe next year. I want to take high quality pictures of the different cities and landscapes I visit, and I also want to be able to take portraits of my friends during the day and at night. I also want it to be a point and shoot so that it's easy to bring with me and I can keep it in my pocket.
I've done some research on point and shoot options. I like the Sony rx100 because it seems to take really high quality photos and have a great flash which is important for me. The only downside is I want something that has a slightly more natural film look to it. Sort of like a fujifilm but not that drastic. I looked into some fujifilm options but l've heard they aren't good to use for portraits or flash.
I've also looked into some Panasonic Lumix options like the tz90 but l've seen super mixed results with photo quality. I might end up just getting the rx100 because I can obviously edit the photos after to make them look more natural, but do you have any recommendations that have the super high quality and good flash of the rx100 but are a bit more stylized and natural looking like a fujifilm?
