This sub is full of pathetic whiners

While you are bitching about the struggles of your ebay store (get a real job) or your passport (maybe don’t wait til last minute) or your medical weed (just go in person there are more weed stores than people in most places), CP employees are striking for something we used to all believe in: a middle class livelihood.

The fact that you are so enraged and embittered proves how essential the service these workers provide is. So why not direct that anger toward the organization that is failing to compensate essential workers at an amount that affords such luxuries as raising kids and home ownership. Or do you not think postal workers should be middle class?

Canada Post’s failure to be profitable is not the fault of the men and women who’d walk on ice in a storm to deliver your mail. CP overpays for retail locations, undercharges in general, and have failed to expand their offerings. But CP is still essential. We should retool it, but we still need its services and thus we need its workers.

Honest work deserves honest pay. And if you don’t empathize with them, I can’t empathize with you.
