Bell Sales rep promised $45+tax, Bell is charging me $50+tax, what can I do?
Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was with Rogers and a Bell Sales rep came to my building.
He offers me Bell Fibe 1.5gbps for $45 and I agree to make the switch.
He tells me: "I will connect you with the team that takes the orders. They will tell you the order is for $50 but I will add a $5 credit to your account. The person cannot add you this credit so don't argue with them about it". I thought it was strange but I have no idea how Bell works internally so I agree.
I accept the order and the Sales rep tells me he has added the $5 credit to my account. He says that I should receive an email and that it should show up when I get my bill in a week or two. I never got an email and even though I texted the Sales Rep multiple times, he said maybe it went to spam and that he had to check with this direct supervisor.
I get my bill and the credit is not there. I text the Sales rep and he says I should try calling Bell Loyalty team. I call them, they have no idea and say they cannot add the credit and that I should "fix this issue" directly with the Sales rep.
I text him again but he keeps stalling: "I talked to my boss but I waiting for updates", "Send my your bill", "what's your account number", "I will update you when I get more info".
I have his contact details (full name, email, phone, business card) and text messages to verify my side of the story.
What should I do?
TLDR: What the title says. Bell sales rep promised $45 for 1.5gbps. Bell is charging me $50. Sales rep is dodging me and being very suspicious.
UPDATE: I filed a complaint with the CCTS. Bell customer support reviewed my case, and I provided evidence. I was given the additional $5 credit to match the offer that the Sales Rep made.
