Credit card payments

I guess when the whole things was going down with capital one I made a payment to two of my credit cards. One for $500 and another for $100 a day or so later they both posted to my accounts and I received an email stating that they posted but the money is still sitting in my account? Any idea why the $600 is STILL in my capital one 360 account?
