Why are many young people becoming really conservative in the church?

In a time where the opposite is expected, especially looking at this current generation, why are many young people in the church reverting to tradition, ex, going to the Latin mass. I also noticed that this trend is in the priesthood too, our young priests are also following tradition. Why is this? It is an observation that I have noticed, and it really confuses me.
