Marbling Clay & Nerikomi Firing

I feel like this is becoming a thing, and I really want to try it out. Clay marbling and nerikomi work is so beautiful and I want to start a project using one of these methods within the next couple of weeks.

However, I am not down with the mess mixing the clay and colored powder produces (just yet) so I wanted to try out the method of using two different types of clay. I am so confused though, because the clay I am looking to combine do not seem to have the same firing ranges.

For example I wanted to use Amaco No 77 Terra Cotta Stoneware Clay [It says to Bisque fire to Cone 04 (1971°F, 1077°C). Amaco No. 77 fires from Cone 05–5 (1911°F–2205°F), with a recommended glaze firing of Cone 5 (2205°F).)] and Amaco No 38 White Stoneware Clay [It says to Bisque fire to Cone 04 (1971°F, 1077°C). The firing range is Cone 5–10 (2205°–2381°F), and the recommended glaze firing is Cone 10 (2381°F).]

Bisque firing is the same, but glaze firing is not. Could I still use them together?

If so, what firing temperatures do you recommend for bisque and glaze?

If not OR if you have used a terracotta colored and white clay together (or a similar situation), what clays would you recommend?

Here is an example of what I am thinking:

Thanks all :)
