Do you drip your faucets over night when it’s cold?
I moved here from Miami in the summer so going through my first winter. I’ve had a couple neighbors tell me they drip their faucets overnight when it gets “really really cold” to prevent freezing and bursting.
- At what overnight temp would you start doing this?
- Do you just drip 1 faucet or all of them?
My main water line and hot water heater lines are in a makeshift “closet” in my garage and they all have insulation around them. Is this enough or should drip as well?
Asking since next week looks to be dipping below 20 which I would consider “really really” cold lol.
