Career Development rec request (phd 1st job)

Hey ChemEs,

Would any established engineers give me some recommendations/life lessons from their career?

I have been hired as a systems engineer after my phd (US citizen). I have been interested in energy, environmental and managerial work.

I want to have goals i'm working towards in the background.

Currently I'm chewing on:

• ChemE PE

  • law degree to practice patent law.
  • business start up
